Bramble Cottage – Terms and Conditions of Booking
Availability, booking and deposit
1. Please contact the owner by email or telephone to check availability of the cottage. If you wish to proceed with a booking, you will be sent a booking form by e–mail or by post.
2. A £100 per stay per week or shorter period deposit, payable by cheque made out to 'Mrs B Strachan', or paid by BACS (preferred), should be sent at the same time as your completed booking form. Upon receipt of the booking form and payment, you will be sent confirmation of the reservation and a receipt for the deposit.
3. The cost of your stay is to be paid in full 6 weeks before the start of your holiday, otherwise the reservation may be deemed to be cancelled.
4. In the event of cancellation more than 6 weeks before the start of your holiday your deposit will not be refunded unless the property is re-let for the same period. Should cancellation take place less than 6 weeks before the start of the holiday the rental is payable in full. It is therefore recommended that you consider taking out suitable holiday insurance.
Check–in and check–out times
5. The cottage will be available from 3.30pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 9.30am on the day of departure.
6. Lettings are normally Friday to Friday, but shorter lettings (Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday) are available on request.
Cleaning and damage
7. The cottage must be left in a clean and tidy condition. The cost of additional cleaning will be charged. Damage and breakages must be paid for.
Dogs
8. One well–behaved dog is permitted by arrangement with the cottage owner. Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture downstairs. Please bring your dog's own bedding, bowls and poo bags. Do not allow your dog in the lounge if it wet or dirty, and please bring your own drying–off towels. There is a stair gate which can be put across the kitchen door to keep your dog in the kitchen where there is a tiled, wipeable floor. Dogs must not be left unaccompanied in the lounge. Please clean up after your dog.
Smoking
9. We operate a strict no smoking policy throughout the cottage.
Occupancy, access and liability
10. The occupancy shall not exceed the number in the party shown on the booking correspondence and in any event shall not exceed 3 persons. No parties are permitted.
11. Access to the property, by the owner or a representative of the owner, shall be
allowed at any reasonable time during the holiday.
12. We are unable to accept liability for any member of the holiday party for any personal injury or sickness, loss or damage to property, including vehicles, however sustained, nor for the loss or theft of belongings and/or money during the stay.
13. Should, for reasons beyond our control, the cottage be rendered unsuitable for letting on the dates booked, all money paid will be returned in full. There will be no further claim against us.
14. You are strongly advised to insure against inability to use or access the cottage for any reason including adverse weather conditions.
Complaints and breach
15. We hope you have a pleasant stay. However, if you have a complaint please contact us immediately so we can investigate it straight away before you holiday ends.
16. We reserve the right to terminate hire without notice or refund for a breach of these terms and conditions.
PRIVACY POLICY
We respect your right to privacy and the protection of your personal information.
We only collect your name and the names of other persons staying with you, your address, telephone numbers and email address. This information is all provided by you on your booking form and enables us to know who is staying in Bramble Cottage and how to contact you about your booking and should the need arise during your stay. We may also communicate with you after your stay and to let you know about the possibility of staying at the cottage in future.
We will keep this information confidential and secure and will not share it with anyone else. We will not keep it any longer than we need to by law.
